That can be disheartening, and put you off of playing it further. If you’re starting out in Titanfall 2, you probably don’t want to be dominated entirely by more experienced players before you even have a chance to be comfortable with the game. Melee is arguably the most powerful weapon in your arsenal- use it right, and you could dominate a match. Use it. Remember when I said Coliseum Mode is like a fighting game? I meant it. Combine Phase Shift with Frag Grenades for devastating results. Phase Shift. That can (and almost always will) throw your opponent off entirely. So to help you out, we’ve collected some basic tips and tricks, that should ease you into the transition:ĭon’t rush into using your frag grenade. Instead, save it foe when it could be the most effective, maybe using it when you see your opponent Phase Shifting. It’s actually like a bit of a fighting game in your Titanfall.Ĭoliseum Mode can be incredibly fun- but it’s also so different from the rest of the game that you’ll probably suffer a bit of whiplash the first time you try to play it. One of the many modes in Titanfall 2 is Coliseum Mode- and it’s a bit of a departure from the other game modes in that it pits Pilots against one another, 1v1, in a small, circular arena, until someone reaches 3 points. You are still in the game after your Titan is destroyed- look into taking out the other Titans, and contributing to your team! Try and strike out on your own, and you’ll be one of the first players to be picked off. Look into switching your Titan, gear, and even your Pilot’s loadout, between rounds- this could be helpful, and keep you on top of the game. It’s a slow strategy, but it’s also a guaranteed point- offensive play can’t give you that Titans are cheaper, and unlocking them first means you’re likely to stumble upon one that suits your play style.ĭeposit your money at banks- this earns your team extra points, and it also ensures that you don’t lose money when you are killed (it gets cut down to half each time you die otherwise)Ĭonversely, always make sure to try and target the opposing team when their players are trying to deposit their money- this way, you cut their savings, and also get more money for your team atthe same time.Ĭapture hardpoints- stick around until it’s amped, and you can get double the pointsīeing defensive is actually a viable strategy in this mode. You’ll earn points toward your titan and boost as you sit by an amped point. You can purchase either Titans or boosts and upgrades using the in game currency, and while having boosts and upgrades for what you do have is extremely important, work on unlocking all the Titans in the game first (there will be three left for you to buy). But when you are doing so, the Pilot will try to repel you with some electric smoke- when this happens, bail! Electric smoke can be lethal, and if you stay within its cloud, you will die. One of the easiest ways to debilitate a Titan is to get on top of it and try to lob in a grenade, or take its battery out. Pick your Class wisely! Each Class in Titanfall 2 plays very differently- make sure you pick one that actually suits your own playstyle.Īvoid smoke. You don’t always have to stay in it, and exiting one right as it is about to explode can sometimes save your life. Make sure to keep the following tips and tricks in mind as you play the multiplayer:Įvacuate your Titan. Games in Titanfall 2 can be quite thrilling, and different from other multiplayer shooters on the market. The multilayer mode in Titanfall 2 is where you will get to face off against other Pilots and their Titans. In this guide, we walk you through everything that there is in the game’s multiplayer-from multiplayer tips and tricks, to leveling up and gaining XP fast, to the best Titan in the game, to the best class loadouts, to a guide to the coliseum mode, to a guide to all weapons, customizations, and camos, pilot helmets collectible locations, best weapons for beginners, to, of course, Achievements and Trophies, this guide has it all. Of course, in all this hullaballoo about the campaign (for which you can find our walkthrough here), we forget that there’s a multiplayer mode in the game, too- and long after the campaign itself is done, the multiplayer mode is what will keep players returning to the game. The game seems destined to go down in history as one of the most compelling single player campaigns in the FPS genre- and it would be well deserved, too. Respawn seem to have hit it out of the park as far as this game is concerned, especially with the single player campaign that they were talking up so much. Titanfall 2 is against all odds, it seems, a great game.
